A close encounter with the world of bees
Bees are not just honey makers – they’re a vital sign of ecological balance. At Tenuta Regaleali, they’ve become an integral part of our commitment to biodiversity. The estate is home to 61 active hives of the Sicilian Black Bee (Apis mellifera sicula), a resilient native species well adapted to the island’s warm, dry climate.
This experience offers guests an intimate look at the silent but essential work of bees. After a brief introduction to the estate’s history and our regenerative farming philosophy, we’ll head by Land Rover to the hives. There, suited up in protective gear, you’ll observe the inner structure of the hive and the social life of the colony up close.
The visit ends with a tasting of three different honeys produced on the estate, paired with local cheeses, and a glass of our sweet wine, Diamante – a moment to reflect on sweetness, care, and our bond with the environment.

Welcome and presentation on the history of the Estate and the Tasca family

Land Rover transfer to the hives
